NAPP 2010 National Conference Announced
Our 18th annual conference returns to Marina Del Rey, California,
February, 14-17, 2010 where the elegant Marriott Resort awaits. We are
planning innovative ways to attract new attendees and ensure that our
long term supporters continue to hear about the latest and greatest in
P-to-P technology, services and processes. To that end, your feedback
about what you would want to see at NAPP 2010 will be appreciated.

We are also announcing an early call for presenters. As always, your
conference registration will be complementary if your subject is
accepted for presentation. Please submit all suggestions and
presentation abstracts to sgrillo@sgnyc.us.
NAPP 2009 - Downsized Yet Powerful
We certainly hope you are finding innovative ways to deal with the
economic down turn. NAPP 2009 was not immune to the impact of the
economy, but we had one of the best conferences ever.
Andrew Bartolini, VP, Global Supply Management Research, the Aberdeen
Group, kicked off the conference with a compelling session entitled,
“P2P Rising.” Utilizing relevant examples from Aberdeen research, Andrew
painted a engaging picture of the increasing value of P2P processes and
technology. Following Andrew, David Natoff, Head of Global Supplier
Sourcing, Google, described the transformation of an operational
purchasing department into a world class procure-to-pay organization.
The plenary sessions culminated with Dan Parnas, Director,
Purchase-to-Pay, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., who described Schwab’s
daunting journey of integrating traditional AP and PO operations into a
cohesive purchase-to-pay organization.
This dynamic opening day set the stage for a terrific conference.
Stimulated by the excellent presentations, the sessions that followed
were more intimate and interactive, There were more chances for
networking and collaboration, and attendees were eager to hear how
others were dealing with doing more with fewer resources.
Equally important, attendees paid particularly close attention to the
vendors at the trade show. Each company that exhibited featured their
unique approach to achieving better efficiency and cost savings. There
was something for everyone and all agreed that it was one on the most
constructive trade shows that they had attended when compared with other
PO or AP conferences
